Happy Holidays folks!
As I sat with my friend Freeman this afternoon he turned to me and asked, "Where did the fall go?"
"what fall?" I asked. The leaves are still clinging to the trees and it is almost Christmas. Where does the time go? I applied to a job today to work with a documentary production house. Sounds interesting, the best of both worlds creative work with a social conscious. They are producing a documentary about autistic children. It's a real shot in the dark but what the heck. I am definitely getting out of where I am currently. I have been thinking about going to Biloxi and helping to rebuild and clean-up the gulf region. From the people that I have talked to, it's just impossible to describe the devasatation.
The front page of the New York Times yesterday just about broke my heart (as did Brokeback mountain which I saw last night --- an entirely different story. Let's just say if I wasn't surrounded by a theater full of people I would have weeped openly and loudly. But I kept my tears to silent streams and cried out on the inside. Unrequitted love is so so...well sad.), but about the NY Times article, there are still so many people living in tents. IN TENTS! We call ourselves a first world nation. Check it out the article if you missed it. That's all for today.
