You know your life has begun when you have something to go to therapy for. Welcome to just another trivial story of another twenty, ahem, nearly thirtysomething.

I need to change the title of my blog because I am no longer a PCV I am now (actually since the 29th of june) a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (who has yet to return). I have been in Turkey the last ten days and .... for lack of a better description of my feelings I LOVE IT! Turkey is god's gift to women as Romania was god's gift to American Male PCVs. Two dateless lonely years have ended my friends, I have been asked out more than I ever will be again. The men here are beautiful and they like us. Now I know what you all are thinking, "they don't like you Nina, they like that little blue passport you have," but honestly when you talk to them they never want to leave turkey. I don't blame them, if I were from here I wouldn't either. It is refreshing to be around people who truly love their country. Turkey is a lot better off than Romania though. I mistakenly thought it would be cheaper but it is not. Beth and I also got offered numerous employment opportunities starting with a carpet selling position in Istanbul. In Goerme a village in the region of Cappadocia we have permanent postions at the Peri Pansyion Hostel if we so desire and yesterday we were offered University positions teaching English in Istanbul.
Most interesting about Turkey has been the mixture of very secular Turks and very religious Muslims. There a tons of women in head to toe black burkas and then a women barely dressed beside her. Though actually we see very few women our age on the streets in comparison to the men. Twenty-f?ve year old men are everywhere it seems. Now I just sound boy crazy which I assure you I'm not. But I am turkish food crazy. I must go. sorry this is so short. I have so much to tell you all!
