You know your life has begun when you have something to go to therapy for. Welcome to just another trivial story of another twenty, ahem, nearly thirtysomething.

NEW PLACE, NEW FACE
I moved once again to the next bloc over. and this is so exciting I can barely type....I HAVE A WASHING MACHINE....hallelujah, the Lord has come..a new light has graced my hands, my back, my bathtub, my life. God bless the washing machine gods. Okay enough thanking and more describing. Well, I have tile floors and a bathroom that has been redone. I have a counter in my kitchen and even cabinets. i have a balcony and a somewhat double bed/ couch. It is really nice and I think that this winter I will be so much happier. Today I am going to buy a shower curtain. I actually feel like taking care of this place.
School is going okay. i have started a communtiy service project unit with all of my classes. We have been discussing Rm. Valcea's needs and they have a project to map out the entire city labeling all the potential community service projects they see. Next week they all have presentations so we shall see how well the understood what we have been talking about since school began. I love my ninth graders. They are still afraid of me and relatively good. I have been taking a hardline with them. I am "Nina the no longer nice" teacher. I take role. I mark absences in the grade book. I mean business. I am going to start a Holocaust unit next with my ninth and eleventh graders. I am a little nervous to discuss a subject so close to me but I think that it will be good experience. I already developed most of the lesson plans. It's always so touch and go though. sometimes they work, sometimes they flop. Teaching is all about thinking on your feet. well, i must go and clean my new place. love to you all and the women who created the washing machine!!!
